Frequently asked questions
I'm new to running, is this race suitable for me?
Absolutely! the course isn't to challenging and we're a friendly bunch so come and join in. The route will have plenty of marshals cheering you on and they'll be loads of signs so you won't get lost!
Just make sure you get some training in beforehand. There are lots of great apps and training plans available online, what are you waiting for.
You've convinced me! I'm getting my reebok classic's out of the wardrobe.......
Hang on a minute........this is a multi-terrain event so you'll need the right footwear. Make sure you've got suitable running trainers.
Will it be a bit hot in June.......
Hopefully it will be a lovely warm June day. It shouldn't be to hot hopefully at 10am but make sure you are prepared to run in warm weather. This means plenty of fluids and don't forget a touch of sunscreen.
They'll be a plenty of water available at the start finish and a water station on the 10k route.
We'll have male and female changing facilities and showers at the race HQ and they'll be hot food and drink available for runners and spectators.
I hear you have a partner charity, do I have to raise money for them?
We'll be donating a portion of each entry fee to a local charity to help raise funds, news of who that is will be shared next week. It would be great if you raised money for them but you are of course welcome to raise money for whichever charity or good cause you wish.
If you simply want to come and run that's fine as well as you'll have already have donated via the entry fee!
Whitchurch, never heard of it....
Whitchurch is a fantastic small town in Hampshire. It's really easy to reach by car with close links to the A34 and the A303 and there's plenty of free parking is available onsite.
There's a selection of local pubs and businesses in the town centre (under 5mins walk from race HQ) serving Sunday lunch. Look out for specials deals for runners on our twitter and facebook page. To find out more about Whitchurch visit http://whitchurch.org.uk/.
